Making a Gingerbread Man

Materials:
1. Brown, green, cream, red yarn. You can pick any color yarn you want.
2. Darning needle
3. Stuffing
4. Size F crochet hook

Head:
1. With brown yarn. 6sc in magic circle. [6]
2. 2sc in each st around. [12]
3. (1sc in first st. 2sc in next st.) X 6 [18]
4. (1sc in first 2 st. 2sc in next st.) X 6 [24]
5. 1sc in each st around. [24]
6. (1sc in first 3 st. 2sc in next st.) X 6 [30]
7. 1sc in each st around. For 5 rows. [30]
8. (1sc in first 3 st. Sc2tog.) X 6 [24]
9. (1sc in first 2 st. Sc2tog.) X 6 [18]
10. (1sc in first st. Sc2tog.) X 6 [12]
11. (1sc in first st. Sc2tog.) X 4 [8]
12. 2sc in each st around. [16]
13. 1sc in each st around. [16]
14. (1sc in first st. 2sc in next st.) X 8 [24]
15. Divide the body into three parts, two for the arms and one for the body. The arms should have 8 stitches each and the body should have 16 stitches. Create slip stitches to divide the body and the arms.

Body:
1. 1sc in each st around. For 6 rows. [16]
2. Divide the body into the legs. Each leg should have 8 stitches each.

Legs:
1. 1sc in each st around. For 8 rows. [8]
2. Sc2tog.
3. FO.

Arms (Make 2):
1. With brown yarn. 1sc in each st around. For 8 rows. [8]
2. Sc2tog.
3. FO.

Green decoration:
1. With green yarn. Chain 12. Make a ring by creating a slip stitch with first chain.
2. (1sc in first chain. 2sc in next chain.) X 6 [18]
3. (Chain 5. Skip first 2 st. Make a slip stitch with next st.) X 6
4. FO. Sew on top of doll’s head.

Remember to stuff the body along the way. Also you can decorate the body any way you want. Don’t forget to add buttons and eyes before you stuff and close up the doll. For decoration I used green, red and white yarn.
