Review: That thing called tadhana

This is a Filipino movie I enjoyed watching. It’s a slow paced drama romance. It stars Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman. It’s a simple movie that doesn’t have a lot of actors. It’s pretty much just those two and they travel around different parts of the Philippines. Mace is the main character who meets Anthony in the airport. They are both in France on their way home to the Philippines. Mace is scene struggling to lighten her luggage because it doesn’t fit the maximum weight for check-in luggage. Anthony goes to help her and they become fast friends.

tadhana

Mace starts to talk about her sad love story with her ex-boyfriend who she had left because she caught him cheating on her in France. He had gone there on business. She went to visit him as a surprise and found that he had established a life there with another woman. She pours her heart out to Anthony who has been very supportive and patient. You don’t really find many guys who would do this, especially for a stranger.

It’s a sweet movie of friendship turned romance. It’s a little slower paced than other films but it’s not a bad film. I enjoyed watching it. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
