Review: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
I just recently had the pleasure of watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I can honestly say that I’m really impressed with what Ben Stiller did with it. I loved the movie and I think that everyone should watch it. It’s one of those stories that motivates you to live life, to let go of your fears and to do what you love. The story, I believe, is something we can all relate to. In today’s society we get caught up in our jobs or school and we loose sight of what life has to offer. I know that we all have responsibilities and we can’t just drop whatever we are doing to go “live life”, but we only have one life to live. The story of Walter Mitty makes me step back and look at my own life. I almost want to start a bucket list of all the things I want to do and see before I die.
I don’t want to say too much about the plot and what happened in the movie because I wouldn’t want to ruin it for you. It’s just very touching and it’s a wonderful story. It’s not your typical Ben Stiller movie with all the yelling and frustration that usually comes with his roles. I really liked this side of Stiller. It shows a different side of him I haven’t seen in his other films.
So if you haven’t already guessed, I highly recommend this film. It’s a must see!
