Review: Snow White and the Huntsman
I was looking forward to watching this even though I was fully aware that Kristen Stewart would be in it. Don’t get me wrong, I liked her in Panic Room. The Twilight series entertained me even though they were average films. It just seemed like every time she talks, she can’t seem to get a full sentence out without sighing or breathing heavily and scoffing. For this movie, I felt like watching Bella in a Snow White movie. I watched this movie with a friend of mine and he was disappointed. The story was good and Charlize Theron was fantastic in it. I really loved the dark theme compared to the light-hearted feeling of the Disney version. I just wish they could have picked another actress to play Snow White. She is the main character and it’s important to pick a good actress for the part. If the main character isn’t great then the quality of the movie suffers. I guess I should have seen the reviews before going to see this movie. I mean, it wasn’t the worst thing in the world. There are far worse out there, Blubberella and Tokyo Gore Police being among the worst movies I have ever had the misfortune to see. I just wouldn’t recommend anyone going to the theater to see it, seeing that movies are pricey. Not that people would be going out this year to see it (cause it’s old), you guys know what I mean. But yeah, if you’re trying to figure out what to see and you’re standing in front of a RedBox, go ahead and see this. It’s not that bad for just a dollar.
